James Ducker Director and Systems Architect
James set up Decent Group in 2007 having been developing database systems since 1994. James writes most of the requirement specifications and test plans. He was one of the first in the UK to be FileMaker 10 certified and is working towards becoming an accredited Prince2 practitioner. James considers it a perk of the job to nose around other people’s workplaces and obtain free biscuits.
Mark Eddy Lead Developer
Mark oversees the production of the hundreds of lines of quality code we produce each day. He also assists with requirement specifications, and it is his highly mathematical and logical brain that lies behind some of our most complex innovations. The secret of such a brain is apparently to keep it warm, which is presumably why he has cultivated enough hair to stuff a small armchair.
Steve Savery Developer and Interface Designer
Steve is a pivotal member of the development team, to be credited not only for churning out the code but for designing highly intuitive and appealing user interfaces. A rare quality in a technical person, Steve’s visual creativity helps us to create some truly usable products.
Durga Rai Development Support
Having joined us in 2009 as an intern, Durga rapidly learnt the ropes and has become a one-man production whirlwind. He keeps our hosted services running at the peak of efficiency and the queue of support jobs pleasingly short. He is currently mentoring our two interns through the same course as he undertook himself. His persistent refusal to go home at the end of the day leads us to wonder if he has in fact succeeded in cloning himself.
Lee Webb Marketing & Sales
Lee manages our online profile and publicity, and loves nothing more than to hear about another new challenge that the team can pull together to solve. Lee uses his lorryload of enthusiasm and imagination to understand each problem and get the wheels in motion towards solving it.
