Reader's Digest Condensed Books
We are proud to include Reader's Digest among our portfolio of clients, following our work on their Condensed Books range. We were faced with the task of electronically copyfitting book text to a precise page extent, following very tight typographic and stylistic constraints to maximise readability while keep the book length to an economic minimum.
This procedure had previously been carried out using copy-editors to add and remove words and phrases; Decent Typesetting achieved the aim with no editorial intervention at all.
Cred: SetFast© sets the pace
A London publisher came to us for advice on how best to produce a complex Who's Who-style industry guide to the UK credit industry, which gives full details of the roles and responsibilities of over 4000 contacts and 300 companies.
Using the 'magic' of SetFast© we developed a simple pagination system that produced the directory in just a few hours, saving several days.
We later extended the system automatically to build and typeset a full index section listing all the companies and contacts.
Samaritans leaflet
We used our automated SetFast© system to customise a simple leaflet, aimed at new volunteers, for 204 different branches.
We also recommended and arranged an easy, cost-effective on-demand printing service.
