James set up Decent Group in 2007 having been developing database systems since 1994. James writes most of the requirement specifications and test plans. He was one of the first in the UK to be FileMaker 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 certified.
Fact: James considers it a perk of the job to nose around other people’s workplaces and obtain free biscuits.
Head of Technical & Operations
With over 15 years’ experience in the IT sector, Jason is an asset to Decent Group. Jason manages and oversees all elements of Decent Group office and operations and works closely with the Client Management team to deliver customer solutions. Jason also manages the software development team ensuring there is clear internal communication, helping Decent Group provide clear external communication, along with great software and app solutions.
Fact: With two young children life’s busy but he still finds time to manage and coach a children’s local football team.
Rhys joined Decent Group in 2015 and is enjoying working on solving client problems and making clients more productive and efficient, particularly if he can make the client paperless and if it involves an iPad or two!
Fact: There’s nothing Rhys likes better to do at the weekends than tinker with a car engine!
Bradley has A Levels in Computing and 3D Design and an AS Level in Maths, so joins Decent Group with lots of useful experience. He enjoys using FileMaker and is following the FileMaker training series.
Fact: Bradley likes unusual pets, having had a tortoise and a duck!
Bekki is a great addition to the team. She’s looking forward to learning more about FileMaker and is very excited about managing the clients’ development journeys and providing the best customer support she can.
Fact: She has two male house rabbits called Tom and Alfie who are like two grumpy old men!
Having joined us in 2009, Durga rapidly learnt the ropes and has become a one-man production whirlwind. He keeps our hosted services running at the peak of efficiency and the queue of support jobs pleasingly short.
Fact: His persistent refusal to go home at the end of the day leads us to wonder if he has succeeded in cloning himself.
Mark oversees the production of the hundreds of lines of quality code we produce each day. He also assists with requirement specifications, and it is his highly mathematical and logical brain that lies behind some of our most complex innovations.
Fact: Mark was formally known for his erratic hair style which he was growing for armchair stuffing in mind, he now sits comfortably in his new eco friendly chair.
Paul joined Decent Group in 2014 and has taken to FileMaker like a duck to water. He is a whizz at making the user interface lovely to look at and also at the coding that makes all the bits of the system work as they’re meant to.
Fact: Beneath the calm and quiet exterior lurks a whirling brain destined for FileMaker dominance!
Eilish has always loved computers and along with her other GCSEs, did a GCSE in Computer Science which she really enjoyed. With previous coding experience, Eilish is finding FileMaker a great platform.
Fact: Eilish loves food, whether it’s fast food or gourmet!
Anjali joins Decent Group with a wealth of experience. She has a Computing degree, a Diploma in Electronics and over 5 years’ experience as a Developer, Analyst and Tester in the Software and IT sector. A perfect fit for creating our perfect fit FileMaker business systems.
Fact: Anjali loves cooking up feasts and spending quality time with her daughter.
A Reading University Maths Graduate, Sinéad is a great addition to the Decent Group team. She’s worked in admin but didn’t find that sufficiently challenging or stimulating, so is looking forward to the wide variety of FileMaker development projects that Decent Group creates and maintains, which will definitely be challenging and stimulating at times!
Fact: A massive dog lover with a proud Irish background, Sinéad adds some Celtic canine-ness to the Decent Group mix!
