James Ducker
Managing Director
James set up Decent Group in 2007 having been developing database systems since 1994. James writes most of the requirement specifications and test plans. He was one of the first in the UK to be FileMaker 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 certified.
Fact: James considers it a perk of the job to nose around other people’s workplaces and obtain free biscuits.
Jason Furnell
Project & Service Delivery Manager
With over 10 years’ experience in IT customer service and project management, Jason’s an asset to Decent Group. Coordinating and managing large business system projects, he provides the link between client and the development team, ensuring projects come in on time and that there’s clear communication between all parties involved.
Fact: With two young children life’s busy but he still finds time to continue his 30+ years supporting Everton and coaches children’s under 7 football.
Leighanne Cowdroy
Client Services Coordinator
Leighanne joins Decent Group having previously worked for Nationwide Building Society within the Procurement and Finance sector. Before this Leighanne worked at a hospital and looked after dementia patients and on the respiratory ward. Using this experience Leighanne has realised that she’d like to work for a smaller company where she can really make a difference and help deliver a personal service to our clients.
Fact: Leighanne loves her labrador Libby (even though it seems Libby doesn’t want Leighanne to go on holiday as she recently ate her new passport!)
Mark Eddy
Lead Developer
Mark oversees the production of the hundreds of lines of quality code we produce each day. He also assists with requirement specifications, and it is his highly mathematical and logical brain that lies behind some of our most complex innovations.
Fact: Mark was formally known for his erratic hair style which he was growing for armchair stuffing in mind, he now sits comfortably in his new eco friendly chair.
Durga Rai
Lead Developer
Having joined us in 2009, Durga rapidly learnt the ropes and has become a one-man production whirlwind. He keeps our hosted services running at the peak of efficiency and the queue of support jobs pleasingly short.
Fact: His persistent refusal to go home at the end of the day leads us to wonder if he has succeeded in cloning himself.
Tristan Collen
Software Developer and Team Leader
Tristan loves the challenging, busy role here at Decent Group. With experience in many programming languages, he finds FileMaker powerful and quick to put a system together.
Fact: A dog lover – Tristan enjoys flyballing (which we now know is a type of dog relay sport!)
Paul Jenkins
Software Developer
Paul joined Decent Group in 2014 and has taken to FileMaker like a duck to water. He is a whizz at making the user interface lovely to look at and also at the coding that makes all the bits of the system work as they’re meant to.
Fact: Beneath the calm and quiet exterior lurks a whirling brain destined for FileMaker dominance!
Eilish Skeates
Software Developer
Eilish has always loved computers and along with her other GCSEs, did a GCSE in Computer Science which she really enjoyed. She joins Decent Group as an apprentice developer and is gaining hands-on computer and business experience. Her apprenticeship at Decent Group is part of the 3AAA training in Swindon, for a BTec Level 3 in IT (which is equivalent to 2 A Level’s). She then hopes to further her studies and apprenticeship to Level 4. With previous coding experience, Eilish is finding FileMaker a great platform.
Fact: Eilish loves food, whether it’s fast food or gourmet!
Bradley Gallavin
Software Developer
Bradley has A Levels in Computing and 3D Design and an AS Level in Maths, so joins Decent Group as it’s latest apprentice with lots of useful experience. He is studying Software Development for the 3AAA Apprenticeship. He enjoys using FileMaker and is already following the FileMaker training series.
Fact: Bradley has a tortoise called Toby and until recently also had a duck!
Rhys Smith
Sales and Special Projects
Rhys joined Decent Group in 2015 and is enjoying working on solving client problems and making clients more productive and efficient, particularly if he can make the client paperless and if it involves an iPad or two!
Fact: There’s nothing Rhys likes better to do at the weekends than tinker with a car engine!
Ishtar Cutler
Marketing Manager
Having always worked in marketing, Ishtar is just what we needed to spread the word about what we do and how well we do it.
Fact: With three daughters, girl power rules in her world!
