SignOff Lite – a free, easy to use business iPad app that logs job details using text, signatures and photos. The details can then be emailed to the business owner and the client as a A4 PDF from the iPad.
Use SignOff Lite on site to streamline your business and reduce paperwork. SignOff Lite is predominantly aimed at any small businessperson that visits customers to get work done e.g. plumbers, gardeners, repairmen etc.
Follow the rest of these instructions on your iPad
- First download FileMaker Go 17 here
- Then tap here to download SignOff Lite
- Set up the app initially by tapping ‘SetUp’ and inputting your company details and preferences. This includes a company logo, a standardised footer and the name of the engineer who will be using the iPad. You may enter a four digit PIN to protect this information if you will not be the engineer using the iPad. This allows other members of your team to use the app
- You are now ready to use SignOff Lite again and again

What it does
For each job you can now do the following:
- Enter the client contact details
- Add the work required
- Record the work carried out
- There is the option to add recommendations for future work and to add a photo from the iPad.
- Assign a cost value for the work
- Include the engineer’s/tradesperson’s signature.
- Record the client’s signature to confirm that the work has been completed, they may also add comments on the service.
- Tapping ‘Email’ at the end of this process will email the client and business owner a copy of the work done, as an A4 PDF. This has the business owner’s branding and logo on.
Customise to your requirements
SignOff Lite can be customised to your exact requirements and can be upgraded to
- Include any fields that you need for your business
- Take multiple photos for each SignOff
- Capture the exact date, time and GPS location of each SignOff
- Work on iPhone or iPod touch, as well as on iPad
- Create jobs from a central office and send them to engineers’ iPads (even when they are already on the road)
- Capture details of the time spent on each SignOff
- Record the details and cost of parts, consumables or materials used on each job
- Produce detailed reports on the profit of each SignOff
